Make these three habits your own.

Gentle cleaning, careful handling and a little time to dry make a difference.

Keep it gentle

Choose a dishwasher programme at a maximum of 50°C. The manufacturer recommends powder detergent rather than tablets.

Give it room

Load pieces so they cannot knock against one another. Let steam escape after the cycle, then allow your ceramics to dry fully.

Dry before reheating

Only place completely dry pieces in the microwave. Residual moisture in ceramic can cause damage when heated.

Love the everyday. Look after the details.

Grey lines left by cutlery can be metal abrasion on the glazed surface. Clean these marks promptly with a ceramic cleaner recommended by the manufacturer, following the cleaner’s instructions.

For tea or coffee residue, begin with gentle washing. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh scrubbing. If a mark persists, send us a photograph so we can help you choose the next step.

Why do my pieces look slightly different?

Each piece is decorated by hand. Small variations in colour, line and pattern are part of the character of Gmundner Keramik, and make a mixed table feel personal.

Can I use my tableware in the oven?

Do not assume that tableware is suitable for baking or direct heat. Check the instructions for your specific item, or contact us before using it in the oven.

What about special finishes or individual pieces?

Always follow the guidance supplied with your piece. If it has a special finish or you are unsure how to care for it, ask us before using a dishwasher or microwave.
