Johann Strauss Edition
Johann Strauss Edition · With Herbert Lippert
Music, art
and a place
at the table.
An Austrian tribute to Johann Strauss II. Discover expressive portrait motifs, flowing signatures and the warmth of a hand-painted red finish.
The story behind the edition
From a painted portrait
to a daily ritual.
Introduced in 2025 to mark the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss II’s birth, the edition was created in collaboration with chamber singer and painter Herbert Lippert.
An oil portrait by Lippert provided the artistic starting point. On the ceramics, the portrait becomes an expressive black motif against the white ground. Strauss’s signature offers a second connection to the composer, while hand-painted red rims and handles bring the different forms together.
It is an invitation to bring a love of music into everyday life: a coffee before rehearsal, something sweet after a concert, or a table set for friends who share the same enthusiasm.
Look a little closer

The signature
Strauss’s signature appears on the coffee cup, paired with a red handle and rim. A small ritual with a musical connection.

The shared table
The water jug carries the portrait into a larger form. Set it at the centre of the table and let the details start a conversation.
